Our Smoked Cheddar is a delicacy, flavored with all-natural smoke made from a blend of apple, cherry, and hickory wood chips. To create this savory cheese we place our Traditional Cheddar in our onsite smokehouse and turn up the heat. This process adds a subtle smoky flavor and distinct caramel color to our hearty cheddar. This semi-hard cheese is made from pasteurized cow’s milk and hand cut into 10 pound, 5 pound, or retail sized pieces before smoking.
Our Smoked Cheddar is wonderful for snacking, pair it with other smoky foods like sausage, or add it to a penne pasta with fresh tomato. This cheese has smooth melting capabilities, use it in chicken tamales and garnish with sour cream or on a pizza with caramelized onions and pancetta. Our Smoked Cheddar is also firm enough to grate, sprinkle over baked potatoes, an Applewood salad or bacon and cheddar soup. Use this cheese and add culinary delight to any smoked turkey or roast beef sandwich.
Vacuum-sealed package may be stored for up to six months.
Once opened, tightly wrap the remaining cheese and store in an airtight bag up to 30 days.
